The almost 8000 mile trip started in Sacramento. It continued to Atlanta then off to Amsterdam. I'm pretty sure the Amsterdam airport is made of chocolate. I resisted the many delicious shops during my 4 hour layover. It was tough. The last leg was to Barcelona. The 2 hour flight ended with one of the most beautiful landings I've ever seen. A gorgeous view of the coast line.
Soccer was light today...
This is basically a journey to learn about the 1:4:3:3 system. As Andrew Ziemer noted we are going to see the Dutch who invented the system and the Spanish who are perfecting it. Since 1:4:3:3 is our preferred system here at Cal State Stanislaus that works out really well.
There is not much soccer to report today as it was just a day to settle in. Dinner was amazing. Lots of Tapas. Then back to the room where I discovered BarcaTV. All of their youth games are video taped. We watched some amazing highlights from u10 on up to the Barca B Team. The u12 boys side volley goalazo was the GOAL OF THE DAY for me.
Tomorrow we are watching Barca youth games all day and then FC Barca v Athletic Bilbao which is expected to be a great match.
